Apply for an Absentee Ballot
     

If you are a full-time student attending a college outside your precinct but within the County; attending an out-of-the-county college; or a voter who will be absent for any other reason on election day, including age or long term illness, you may vote by absentee ballot.

How to obtain an Absentee ballot

It is suggested that you write or call the Board of Elections at least 45 days before an election and request an application for an absentee ballot or send a letter stating your name and address as it appears on your voter registration records, your reason for requesting a absentee ballot, and an address where you wish the ballot sent.

A REQUEST TO MAIL AN ABSENTEE BALLOT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE ELECTION OFFICE LATER THAN (7) DAYS BEFORE AN ELECTION. Your voted ballot must be received in the Election Office NOT LATER THAN 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

How to Obtain A Late Absentee Ballot

After the Tuesday preceding an election and election day prior to the time the polls close, any person registered and otherwise qualified to vote may apply, IN PERSON OR THROUGH A DULY AUTHORIZED AGENT, for a late absentee ballot. Call 301-952-3273 to inquire whether or not you qualify for a late absentee ballot.
